My english competence in 2013

I choose this writing because I think that it was interseting and a lot of people agree with. Maybe there weren´t a lot of connectors or vocabulary but is like a discussion and the grammar is quite good.

And I choose this dialogue because there are a lot of vocabulary, connectors, the grammar is perfect and the dialogues is really funny. It was my best dialogue. In this dialogue I show my fluency, my pronuntation and I realised that I improve a lot and I was proud of myself. And  I know that I have to improve more thingh but I quite happy of my job during this year.

My english progress from 2011-2013

If I look the first writing I send to Lourdes I can say that it was horrible, but lookin now I can say that I improve a lot my compositions.

I improve my grammar, but the most thing I improve it is the vocabylary and the connectors. I can see that my old compositions have the same structureband the same vocabulary maybe now I do the same but with more coonectors and new vocabulary.

I have also improve my fluency and my pronutation because I speak more than the otrher years ans also because in summer I sepeak english with the tourists.

And for oral peresentation, I have seen that my fisrt oral presentation I was so nervous and I didm´t look to my frinds I was loooking Lourdes old the time, but I improve it a lot. And I believe that oral presetntations helps you to improve your english a lot because you have more fluency, more gramar and more vocabulary too.

I've just been talking to my mum about our summer holidays, and she

suggested that this year you could spend a couple of weeks with us. We saty near the sea and the weather's is extremely good. I'll be there all the summer, so if you can come, which month would you come? I prefer July but it is up to you.
We have small spare room in our apartment there and we saty there. I think that it will be nice do a lot of things, like sports, visiting places, go to the beach and meet new people.

Summer 2013

This summer will be the best summer in my life, because I will finsh 2 bat and then I will go to the university to stduy infermeria but I don´t know where yet.

Well when we finish the selectivitat, I and my friends will go to Mallorca (Magalluf) and we stay ther for five days I think and after this trip I have to get my drive's license and have a job for pay my stuff. It will be the best because I haven´t to thik about exams or about the resarch project. Only I have to enjoy the summer with any concerns.
I can´t wait to go to Mallorca because I'm sure that it will be really exciting and we'll not stop.

History

When I look back on it now, I realised it was the most exciting day of my life.
I was gonig to my high school when suddenly someone took me and when I relaised I knew that he had kidnapped me. I was so nervous and I was afraid because I was a poor girl and wasn't famous. So I didn´t know what would happen.
Then after many hours, someone saud to me that everything was a film and they took me because they wanted to look real so I was in the "wrong or right" place.
I'll never forget this day, it was amazing and bizarre.

Zoo seeks mate for last surviving 'gorgeously ugly' fish

The Zoo, wich describesthe fish as "gorgeously ugly", is hoping to start a conservation program if a fit female can be found for the captive males. There had been a female captivity at the German zoo but attempts to breed ended in disaster when de male kill her. Mr Zimmerman is not very confident for the future of the species.

I don't now so much about fishes but I think that if this species die it wouldn´t be any problem. Because it is only a fish and it hasn´t got any benefits for us only we have it because it is "beautiful" and that's it. Maybe some pople say that I'm a crazy girls for say this things, but this is my opinion and I think it wouldn´t be the end of world
if this fish die.

Mobiles 'to outnumber people next year', says UN agency

There will be more mobile subscriptions than people in the world by the end of next year. There are currently 6.8 billion mobile subscription and 7.1 billion people, the Commonwealth of  Independent States, the alliance of countries formerly in the Soviet Union, has the highest mobile penetration with 1.7 subscription for every person. Africa has the least, with 63 subscriptions per 100 inhabitants.

 It is amazing. Humanity has progressed a lot during the last years and this, shows as what the humanity and the technology can do. But also we need be more because there are some people that are still offline so they can enjoy it like us because they have fewer resources than us.

Defrocked 'Nuns' Found With Drugs

Three "nuns" on a flight from Colombia to the Caribbean island of San Andres have been stopped by police on a hunch because of their suspicious habits. The hunch was correct and police found more than 4lb of cocaine (2kg) strapped to the legs of each woman. The women  apparently burst into tears. They told officers they had been forced to carry the drugs because of financial hardship.The women were arrested.

When I saw this news I can´t belived it, they might have a brilliant imagination, because it's an excellent idea for tranport drugs. But they made a big mistake they didn´t have to be nervous. If they didn´t be nervous the police didn´t know it and they weren´t arrested.

Cleveland Women's Escape From Long Captivity Unprecedented

The case of the man in Cleveland, Ohio, accused of kidnapping three women and a young child is both horrific and rare. The news that Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight were alive and free, after being kidnapped a decade ago, sparked celebrations in their home town. Robert Lowery, with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, said their miraculous escape from years of captivity is unprecedented in the U.S, because usually, the longer children go missing, the smaller the chance they will be found alive. But Lowery said this case and others give new cause for hope.
I found this new interesting and rare. How a person can do this? I think that only a evil person can do it, because this is extremely shocking. This girls have been very lucky because thousands of children dissaperd and aren´t found.

We are sitting in the arena with Bol the famous runner of 100m.l after his training

I: Hello Mr. Bolt, how are you?
B: Hello Ms. Fato, I'm fine thank you.
I: I think you are exhausted after this hard training, aren't you?
B: Well, everday after my trainings I was exhausted, but it's my job and I love it.
I: And tell me what is your daily?
B: It's very simple, when I wake up i have breakfast and then I go to my training, everyday I do the same except Sundays.
I: OMG, and you don't feel boring everyday doing the same thing? And what do you do on Sundays?
B: Oooh! no, most people say the same, but I ask them the same question, because if you really love your job then it isn't a job.
On Sundays I sit in my sofa and watch the carrer and my carrer for improve myself.
I: Wow! so old your live is atheletics. Do you have time for love? Do you have any girlfriend?
B: Well in this world you have time for everything, but yes I have a gilfriend and we are esxtremely happy.
I: This is perfect! Well thank you for your time Mr. Bolt
B: Your welcome, it is a pleasure.

Opinion: job satisfaction is more important than slary?

It is said that satisfaction and salary have the same importance. In despite of that if you have a good job but the salary isn't quite good you can´t live on this and finally you will in financial ruin. In my view it is more important the salary than the satisfaction.

Firstly, I belive that you have to survive in this life, which isn´t easly, life is extremely cruel and if you don´t stay in the misery you must have a good salary.

Secondly, I think that if you want to have a family, a house you must have a good job for to keep up your family and whatever you want you must have money. Because nowadays everything moves around the money.

Thirdly, with this crisis everything becomes more expensive, even the food.


In my opinion job is more important than satisfaction because you must earn money for pay your expenses.

Discussion: prenuptial arregements are a good idea?

Why should we do a prenuptial arregments? Are they necessary? Do they make couples or separete them?

On the one hand this prenuptial arregements separate the couple because they look for their own security and maybe they don´t rely on his partner, also it isn´t look for the future of the couple. It seems like they are single and their only interest is the security of their own economy.

On the other hand it is said that it isn´t any problem. It is only a paper and just this. They do it because it is a garanty for the couple and also for their future children.

In my opinion prenuptial arregements shouldn´t be done because if you don´t rely on your partner you musn´t marrry him/her.

Can we make Humans rights more relevant in the world today

Nowadays the world is in crisis and in some parts there are war. Even though there are a lot of people which hits the streets to demand their rights. I think that whith these actions the huaman rights are more relevent in the world.

 A few years ago this would be unthinkable because everything was good and anybody have any problem and there wasn't crisis or war. So in these times the human right wasn´t relevent.

Despite that I would that the human rights would be relevant in any time, moment, situation and not because we are in crisis or when someone have any problem.

In conclusion I say that with these things human rights are more valued and it will be in the future.

Mali: Soldiers Torture Detainees in Léré

Seven men were torture by the soliders.The military appeared to be torturing the men as punishment for suspected support for Islamist armed groups. The torture and other ill-treatment of the men caused lasting injuries. One man went blind in one eye after being clubbed in the face with a gun butt, while another had gone partially deaf after being kicked repeatedly in the head.
I think that is a horrible situation. I know that it is happens in many countries but it is too much. They don't have any right to do this because they are human like the seven men. This must be penalty because the world must be change and must be more safely.
 In others countries the situation is extremely different.

Human Rights

Human rights are rights inherent to all human beings, whatever our nationality, place of residence, sex, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, language, or any other status. We are all equally entitled to our human rights without discrimination.
They were created by the horrors experienced during the Second World War, most notably the genocide committed by the Nazi regime, shocked the world. War could no longer be used as an excuse to commit crimes against humanity; nor could the suffering and death of millions of innocent people be ignored.
There are 30 articles about human rights.
We are not familiar whits this right No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. This human right is respected in Europe but it isn't respected in Africa,  India ... In the third world.

Do you ever buy things that you don't need? Why?

A lot of people influenced by advertising and the consumer society purchase a lot of things that they don't need. Everybody wants to wear the new jacket or the new handbang and to follow the latest fashion, but they don't know that they are being deceived.

A few years ago I bought many things that I didn't need, because I loves to spent all my money on stupid things like T-shirts, handbags, jackets etc. I didn't realize that I was throwing the money when my mother punish me.

At present I don't spend all my money I only buy the things that I like and I will wear.

Sinkhole swallows up Florida man Jeffrey Bush

Jeffrey Brush disappeared into a sinkhole that swallowed up a bedroom in his house.

Rescuecrews have not made contact with him yet. His brother said that at midnight he heard a loud crash and then his brother screaming for help.  When chief Rogers arrived he only could see a part of mattress sticking out of the hole.

Fire chief said that sinkholes are common in certain parts of Florida.

This new is extremely shocking because you are sleeping and suddenly a hole opens under your bed, what you do in this situation. I can’t imagine that, I don’t know what I’m going to do I think I would scream and wail. 

Description

Bemba, my elder brother is 21. It is said that he looks like me because he is a brown-eyed guy and also he is dark-haired like me but I always disagree with that. Now he finished his degree but he hasn't found a job yet.

He is a tall guy, broad-shouldered and long-legged like me. He is quite good-looking and he looks extremly attractive when he goes to a party.
His personality is totally the opposite from me. Sometimes when he is angry he can be tick-skinned, rude but I undersatand him because I do the same. Appart of that he is cheerful, self-confident, amusing and when I have a problem he always helps me. He loves football, it's his passion and the cars too.

I admire him because he is friendly, hard-woorking and he is warm-harted and it's my elder brother and I consider thet he is my second father.

Spanish royal Inaki Urdangarin faces corruption probe

Inaki Urdangarin is suspected of misusing millions of euros in public funds that were given to a charitable foundation he ran. The duke and his former business partner Diego Torres are suspected of siphoning off money given by regional governments to the Noos Institute to organize sporting events. This new has embarrassed the royal family. Urdangarin read a statement distancing King Juan Carlos and her wife from the corruption scandal.

Every day a new corruption comes and I find it strange that it have come to the royal house.  I don’t know if it is true or false but now nobody trusted the royal house or politicians.

Mosquitoes ignore repellent Deet after first exposure

Repellent Deet appears to be losing its effectiveness against mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are first deterred by the substance but then later ignore it.  By knowing the cause of this the researchers attached electrodes to the insects antenna and after that they could saw that the mosquitoes were no longer as sensitive to the chemical so they weren’t picking it up as well.

I know that some repellent aren’t effective. Sometimes I use it but after an hour or two mosquitoes appear again so it doesn’t work. Always mosquitoes bit me but I didn’t do nothing because after a days the bit didn’t hurt me.

'Oldest marathon man' Fauja Singh runs last 10km race

Fauja Singh became the world’s oldest marathon runner. He is 101 years old when he finished the Hong Kong 10km. He was not a professional runner when he started when he was 89 after lose her wife and his fifth son. After this race he feel sad and happy because is the last race.

It’s incredible that someone could run at this age. I am extremely surprise because I am a runner and I can’t imagine me running at this age. I admire her.  I hope to have that health when I am older.

Oscar Pistorius brother Carl also facing homicide trial

Carl Pistorius the brother of Oscar Pistorius is also facing homicide trial. Carl was accused of murdering a woman in 2008 in an accident car. Kenny Oldwage the lawyer of Pistorius family said that Carl is innocent. The day of the accident Carl has not alcohol in his blood at the time.

I think that it just was an accident and he, Oscar has not guilty because the police didn’t saw alcohol in his blood so it shows part of his innocence. And this kind of accident could happen to everybody. I see this news every day in the TV.

Gandia shore

Gandia shore is a very famous tv programme in Spain. This programme is like George shore and Jersey shore in UK. This kind of programme is about four girls and four boys who go to a house during the summer and only thing they do is go aout and sometimes work ina a beach bar. It's a funny tv programme because they do a lot of funny things and they always have arguments and tehy fall in love too.

I think that is isn't good or bad, it's only to spend time. The kind of person who watches this is young person because it's a perfect programme for this age, because people who do this are young and the only thing they do is go out, dance and flirt a lot. And at this age young people think only about this, so I recommend this programme to young people.

Research project

My research project is about the evolution of the naked women in the painting since middle ages to XX century. It is divided into three parts. The first part is an introduction about art. The second part I have talked about the western beauty canon today. The third part is the most important one because I compare the paintings of different period. An finally the women rol in each period.

Can internet empower people to make a better world?

 Can internet make good people?
 I don't thing so, because internet ist's a potencial arm and depending you use it, it can be very dangerous for us. And in those days there are much evil person.

Fisrt I can say that internet is the best media and if you want to now something you only have to surf internet, but is isn't the way. Because everybody uses more and more the internet and they put evereything of their lives and this is owful.

Second there are some intelligent people (with this crisis more) who surf the internet to know our movements and get the opportunity to rob us. So internet empowers people to make a worse world. I give an exemple. Yestarday at night I was watching the news and I heard Maria had still robbed for someone because she put her bancacount in some publicity and then she received a message and realised that someone had robbed her.

In conclusion internet it's good for some things but the most time no.

Zara commits to go toxic-free

A lot of companies use hazardous chemicals and Zara the world's largest clothing retailer too. They committed to eliminate all discharge of hazardous chemicals by 2020.

The commitment was good for the pollution and Greenpace and also to use because we know if our chains or clothes are "clean" and who we can trust.
