Sierra Leone: Ernest Bai Koroma wins presidential poll


President Ernest Bai Koroma has won the election, he received 59% of votes and will not need a second round.
His opponent got 38% of votes. Since the civil war of 1991-2002 was the third election that took place in Sierra Leone, where everything was transparent and peaceful.
Mr. Koroma won 8 candidates and took 1,314,881 votes, his supporters when they know the news took to the streets to celebrate the comfortable victory. This will be his second and last term in office.
Sierra Leone is a peaceful and democratic country, but remains one of the poorest countries in Africa.
